Rock Climbing And Off Roading

So Loni, Jared, and I went rock climbing the other day at this gym here in Rexburg. When ever I climb here I normally go to this little place called Stix and Stones that only has bouldering. This new place is called Regional, they have a rock wall and a bouldering wall. We mostly rock climbed but did do a little bouldering at the end.

This is Loni belaying Jared.

Me belaying for Loni.

Also last week Loni and I went to a bonfire at the Crack. The Crack is a rock that has a huge crack in the middle, it's perfect for bonfires. You can sit on the walls of the rock and that is plenty of distance because those pallet bonfires get HOT. This is my friend Jimmy, I just met him this semester, I used to hang out with is his younger sister and older brother while he was on the mission.

This everybody sitting on the walls and cute little Loni smiling at the camera.

This is me and Chili (Dustin), Chili has been my friend since my first semester, he is one of the nicest guys I know. Ignore me in this picture, I know I look like a crazy

This isn't a very good picture but I took it because there was still so much snow on the ground. This is out by the sand dunes. We were looking for the civil defense caves, but couldn't find them so we just went off roading.
This is the aftermath. We were sitting in the back and it was so dark in there.

Lava Hot Springs

So my roommate Jenney and I went latin dancing the other week and we thought we should take pictures so here's us right before we left for a night on the town.

A couple weeks ago I made dinner for a girl who had recently lost her mother and as a thanks she gave me some banana beignets that she made. She told me how to make them so the other day I made some beignets. They were pretty good, they taste like banana scones.

The other day I woke up and my neck was hurting a little bit and so put my hand up to rub it and this is what I felt. It really surprised me and scared me at first. I thought for a second that it was a sist, but I realized that a sist couldn't just pop up over night. So I concluded that it was just a big knot in my neck. It is almost gone now and that was a week ago.

This is our friend Reef, he is a pretty funny guy who has been coming over and visiting us lately. He is a personal trainer, so he showed Jenney and I some exercises. Jenney recorded them and I made them into a video, so we could watch it and do the exercises. It's a pretty good little workout, and is easily done at home. Also lately I've been going to the gym and running. I've been running 2 miles in about 20 min. I haven't gotten to the point where I can run strait for 20 min, I walk for two min after I run my first mile. But I ran my first mile in 8:34 the other day, and I finised the second at 18 min.

Last Saturday Jenney, Jared and I went to the Lava Hot Springs here in Idaho. They are pretty nice. They've been modernized so they are chlorinated, have gravel at the bottom, and have little cement benches all along the edges. They are set up on a hill so the highest one is the hottest and the lowest is the coolest. The coolest one is like warm like a cheap Jacuzzi or a particularly warm swimming pool. The hottest one is really hot, your skin is all red when you get out and you can only stay in for a little while or you'll fell like your about to burst into flames.
This was a monument that was on the edge of the Hot Springs town that we took pictures on (hoping we wouldn't get arrested by the cop who was down the street).

The day we went to the hot springs was perfect. It was snowing just a little bit so you put half your body out of the springs, and the other half in and it would create the perfect situation.

"Way down yonder by the Chattahoochee..."

So I have news for those of you who haven't heard, I'm going to go live down Georgia! I am going to go down in April, after this semester is over. I will be living with Mandi and Aaron and their family. I'm really excited because both times I have gone down there to visit I didn't want to leave. So I will be there for Brandon's graduation and I will get to see the new arrival Baby Gwen.
The other day was my friend Josh's birthday and for his birthday we went to a rodeo. It was pretty impressive. I haven't been to a rodeo since I was like 12. When I went to visit the Mills in Malad with Carol, we went to a rodeo. All I remember from then was mutton busting. My favorite events from this rodeo was bulldoging and bull riding.
After the rodeo we all went to the firehouse and Josh showed us around and told all these cool facts about the fire trucks and the ambulances. The fire hat that I am wearing is Josh's, one of the guys we were with tried on Josh's whole fire outfit. I have been to the fire house before and tried on Josh's stuff so I didn't have the want to do it again. So I thought wearing the helmet would do.
Sunday I went with Geri over to Katie's, and Geri made matching shirts for her and her boyfriend Shane. They turned out pretty good I was impressed, I want make one for myself eventually.

Monday after FHE my home-teacher/friend/roommate's boyfriend, Jared came over. Jenney and Loni were wrestling and when ever my roommates wrestle I don't like to get involved because I know I could hurt one of them easily. Watching them wrestle was kinda pathetic because it looks like they barely try. Also near the end one got hit in the head and that was the end of it for her. She promptly went to her room and shut the door. That is why I don't wrestle with girls. Then Jenney and Jared stared play wrestling and Jared pinned her rather quick. I sat there and tried to coach Jenney how to get out of it but she lacked experience and strength. She then said Jared and I should wrestle. I hesitated but eventually agreed. Jared is a little shorter than I and weighs five lbs less then I do, but he is a boy and boys are naturally stronger. It felt like we were wrestling forever but it was probably only like 3 min. Jared won, but we were both breathing so hard and we were exhausted. It was a fun little match, I was tempted to fight dirty like I do when I wrestle with Isaac (pull his ear or hair, bend his finger backwards, or pinch him), but I decided this match should be all about strength.

This is a video I took while I was at the rodeo.
